At your riad, your hotel, or at a meeting point on the edge of the medina. Since the old town is pedestrian, we agree the nearest accessible point to your door.
Is the wind a problem on a motorcycle?
Essaouira is known for its trade winds, especially in spring and summer. You feel the crosswind on the coast road: a slightly heavier bike like the BMW GS or the Ténéré is more reassuring than a light single.
Can I ride here and back from Marrakech?
Yes — many riders rent in Marrakech and do Essaouira over two or three days. We can also deliver in Essaouira and collect the bike in Marrakech for a transfer surcharge.
When is the best time to ride from Essaouira?
April to October for the sunshine, bearing in mind the wind is strongest from May to August. If you would rather ride in calm air, aim for spring or autumn; winter stays mild but wetter.
How many days should I allow from Essaouira?
One day for the coast around Sidi Kaouki, two days to reach Agadir along the coast road, and three to four for an Essaouira-Marrakech loop through the argan hinterland.
